By Road
The road to Seisia is closed during the wet season and opens again when weather permits. This usually happens around late April or early May, with the road closing again with the coming of the wet.
Visitors may travel via the Peninsula Development Road or the Old Telegraph Track. Depending on the condition of the Peninsula Development Road it can offer a fairly comfortable journey for 4WD vehicles and vehicles towing off-road camper trailers, caravans or boats.
The Old Telegraph Track is a challenging drive for 4WD vehicles only. We recommend travelling this road with full repair and safety kits. Damage to vehicles is not uncommon. However, successful travellers find this an exciting and satisfying journey.
Please take into consideration the fact that our access roads are in a remote area, and assistance may be some hours away in an emergency.
